Tando Composites Expands in Texas with Dixie Plywood

Quebec City, Quebec –  Tando Composites has partnered with Dixie Plywood and Lumber Company (DIXIEPLY) to expand distribution in Texas. DIXIEPLY will now carry the full line of Tando Composites’ products, including Beach House Shake®, the authentic composite shingle, and TandoStone®, the #1 brand of composite stone. Headquartered in Savannah, Georgia, DIXIEPLY will distribute TandoStone and Beach House Shake from three Texas locations - Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.

“We’re excited to add Tando Composites to our product lineup,” said Brian Hauerwas, General Manager of the DIXIEPLY Dallas branch. “TandoStone and Beach House Shake deliver the high performance, weather-resistance, and curb appeal today’s builders and homeowners demand in both urban and suburban areas. We see tremendous potential for our customers with these composite products that are really changing the market.”

“Our team is proud to partner with a company like DIXIEPLY that shares our commitment to branded leadership, innovation and customer service,” said Ralph Bruno, CEO of Derby Building Products, parent company of Tando Composites. “DIXIEPLY’s strong coverage across Texas, a rapidly expanding market for Tando Composites, makes them an ideal distributor for TandoStone and Beach House Shake as demand continues to explode.”

TandoStone is the preferred choice of siding installers looking for a beautiful and easy-to-install alternative to traditional stone, stone veneer and painted concrete. TandoStone is available in two profiles: Stacked Stone, which offers a dry stack look without grout lines and Creek Ledgestone, which features the look of hand-picked stones with visible grout lines. Both profiles are installed with standard siding tools in a fraction of the time compared to traditional stone or stone veneer.

Beach House Shake is available in four distinctive styles to complement a wide range of aesthetic preferences: Atlantica, a silvery gray inspired by bleached cedar shingles; Sandcastle, capturing the look of fresh white cedar; Hatteras, a deep gray reminiscent of southern coastal homes, and Pacifica, a rich tone that delivers the beauty of western red cedar. Unlike natural cedar shingles, which discolor quickly and unevenly, Beach House Shake retains its authentic cedar appearance from the day it’s installed throughout the lifetime of the home. Its advanced composite technology offers unparalleled realism, architectural precision, and simplified installation. Beach House Shake also meets certification standards for High Velocity Hurricane Zones by Miami-Dade County.
